Rest Stations and Routes
REST STATIONS
Well-stocked rest stations with water, snacks and toilets are spaced at appropriate intervals. Rest station locations include: Sheffield Community Centre, Carlisle Conservation Area, Flow State Bike & Coffee, and in the Rockton area.


ROUTES AND MAPS
Route Navigation: All routes are unmarked. You are responsible for your own route navigation using either a digital map, paper map or trusted friend. Our maps below can be downloaded and printed.
No Road Closures: The courses are “open”, on public roads, with neither road closures nor escorts. All riders must follow the rules of the road.
Digital maps and GPS: All routes are GPS-supported with digital maps available through the Ride with GPS and Strava apps (see below).

10k/20k – The Campus/Waterfront
A family-friendly out-and-back route via the McMaster U. Campus to Bayfront Park, with a maximum grade of 4%. Rest and turn around point at BSB field on McMaster U. Campus, for those choosing the 10k route option.
This route has light refreshments available upon return to the Dundas Driving Park.
Elevation Profile:
**Note: The Campus/Waterfront route uses a combination of public roads and paved trails (50/50). All riders must follow the rules of the road and exercise due caution while riding in traffic. Every child younger than 13 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult as described below.
Registration in The Waterfront ride does not include a meal voucher. Meals will be available to purchase at the Taste of Dundas outdoor food court in the Driving Park.
36k – The Idyll
Surround yourself in idyllic scenery as you rise up through the Dundas valley and then enjoy the descent back into town.
This route has 2 rest stations 1 including upon return to the Dundas Driving Park.
60k – The Pastoral
Start your ride with a gentle climb to the pastoral landscapes of West Flamborough. This route has fewer than 500 m of total elevation gain.
This route has 2 rest stations 1 including upon return to the Dundas Driving Park.
100k – The Countryside
Rise to the challenge of completing your Metric Century riding through the rolling rural countryside of Flamborough farmland with over 600 m of total elevation gain.
This route has 3 rest stations 1 including upon return to the Dundas Driving Park.
160k – The Olympian
Conquer this classic Imperial Century (161 km) with over 1,000 m of total elevation gain. This route includes a brief 18% ascent and a serpentine 10% descent. Be prepared!
